A car belonging to Embakasi West member of Parliament George Theuri’s wife Cynthia Gitonga was on Saturday impounded by DCI detectives.

In a tweet, DCI said one of the cars belonged to Ms Gitonga and the other John Mwangi.

The vehicles were declared semi trailers hence evaded duty through an organized scheme that claims they were manufactured at a fictitious company in Mombasa, the DCI noted.

Kahawa Tungu has learnt that the MP presented his wife with a Mercedes Benz GLA200 – Reg No KCR 565W – estimated to cost Sh4.4 million in August 2018.

He presented her with the swanky German Machine on her birthday. It was also a token of appreciation for sticking with him.

“When nobody wanted to be associated with me because of my criminal activities, you proudly stood by me, when everyone else was ashamed to stand by us coz (sic) of our late son. In church as I was suspended from the Bible school you stood by me.

I want the whole world to know that I love you very much and I honor and cherish every moment with you my one and only queen,” he said.

This writer has also learnt that the legislator keeps a low profile and is unsociable.
