Jay-Z is giving a live press conference in Philadelphia.
On Monday (May 13), Jay-Z is set to be announced as the official organizer and headliner of the first annual Budweiser Made in America music festival.
According to the New York Times, the festival will be held in Philadelphia on Labor Day Weekend (September 1-2), and will be officially revealed during a press conference tomorrow morning with Jay-Z and Mayor Michael A. Nutter of Philadelphia.
Though the line-up is relatively unknown at this time, according a news release from the organizers, Jay-Z plans to employ as many as 28 acts from various genres including “rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and dance.” An unspecified portion of the proceeds made from the festival will also benefit local non-profit charities such as the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
Tickets to the Made in America music festival go on sale on May 23rd, and will be available for purchase on ticketmaster.com and livenation.com.
