The Ultimate Fighter has been a proving ground for dozens of MMA fighters over the years and given them their chance in the UFC.

Legends of the sport like Michael Bisping, Nate Diaz and Forrest Griffin have all won previous series of the reality TV show.

The finale of season one, between Griffin and Stephen Bonnar, helped launch the UFC into the mainstream with a brutal brawl that was watched by millions.

It has also given us plenty of devastating knockouts over the years but none more so than Uriah Hall’s KO of Adam Cella in season 17 in 2013.

Hall defeated Cella in their bout in the first round with a spinning heel kick that immediately knocked Cella out.

He remained on the canvas for some time before regaining consciousness with plenty of concern for the fighter before he received a round of applause when he got up.

Dana White said at the time: “I was impressed with Cella. Cella went right out after him. He was striking with him but Uriah had vicious knees, his standup is good, his kicks are unbelievable.

“He has this way of moving his body that you can’t tell what he’s going to do. Is he going to kick? Is he going to punch?

“One of the nastiest knockouts I’ve ever seen in the fight business, let alone on the Ultimate Fighter.”

Hall went on to be beaten in the final of that series to Kelvin Gastelum but still received a UFC contract.

He’s had a mixed career in the promotion with an 8-7 record (15-9 overall) but has won his last two fights.

We're not sure he'll ever top that knockout, whatever he does in the future...
